About + FAQ

South Africa's flexographic plate partner.

Who we are

Flexo Africa (Pty) Ltd is a flexographic plate brokerage based in Assagay, KwaZulu-Natal. We broker the full range of Polyflex and Stallion digital photopolymer plates and pair every order with full pre-press repro and QA in-house.

Our customers are South African converters and printers who do not want to chase plates, manage repro themselves, or split their business across two suppliers. They want plates on their press, on time, on spec. That is what we deliver.

Behind every order is a small, accessible team. Real people, real phones, real WhatsApp. We are local. We are accountable. We are not the biggest, and that is by design.

Frequently asked questions

The questions converters ask us most often. Click any to expand.

How does ordering work on the portal?+

Configure your plate spec and dimensions in the configurator, see live ZAR pricing, then sign up to place the order. Your order enters our workflow at the artwork stage. We prepare the PDF, send you a proof to approve, then push the file to plates. You watch every step in your dashboard.

What plate brands and types do you broker?+

We broker Polyflex (11 types, including Crystal XPS, HD Flexo, and standard digital) and Stallion (9 types, including Centillion and Evolution HD). All thicknesses from 1.14 mm to 5.71 mm, sizes up to 203 x 127 cm.

What is your turnaround time?+

Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days from approved artwork through to plate delivery. Need it faster? Add Express at checkout for 48 to 72 hour turnaround. Lead time depends on your artwork being final and our supplier capacity at the time of order.

How do payments work?+

We support both account terms and card payment. Existing customers on account terms get 30 days from invoice. New customers can pay by card via Stripe at order time, or apply for an account when you sign up. We will let you know your terms when your account is activated.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?+

Print-ready PDF is best. Vector based, with all fonts outlined, CMYK or with separate spot channels, bleed marks set, at 100 percent scale. If your file is not press-ready, our repro team will prepare it. Send what you have, we will tell you what we need.

Do you do repro, or is that separate?+

Repro is in-house. Trapping, colour separations, screen ruling, barcode placement, dieline and bleed setup. The repro stage runs as part of every job. You get a press-ready PDF proof to approve before plates are made.

How is delivery handled?+

Plates ship from our suppliers in KZN to anywhere in South Africa via courier. You get tracking the moment plates leave the supplier. Delivery typically takes 1 to 2 business days within the country.

What if a plate has a quality issue?+

We catch most issues at our QA stage before plates ship. If something gets through and you find an issue on press, contact us right away. We will investigate, replace if it is a plate issue, and adjust your invoice as needed. Quality is on us.

Can I reorder a plate from a previous job?+

Yes. Every job you place stays in your order history. Hit Reorder and we use the same spec, the same artwork, the same brand. You only need to confirm the quantity and any small changes.

Where are you based?+

Flexo Africa (Pty) Ltd is based in Assagay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Our team is local. Our suppliers are local. Our delivery is national. We have been brokering flexo plates for South African converters for over a decade.
